Even at this stage of my career, I continue to focus on creating content to attract the right target market demographic with every opportunity available.  I was recently on a trip to the incredible Island of Tenerife doing a commercial shoot.  It was a 15 day gig and nothing to do with weddings ( I signed an NDA about it, but all will be revealed soon).  I had heard that it was a gorgeous location and have always wanted to shoot on black, volcanic beach sand.  I wasn’t going to let this opportunity go by without maximising it.  I contacted Enzoani wedding gowns and was kindly lent a wedding gown for the trip.  I didn’t even know if I would get the opportunity, but if I did and I didn’t have a dress, I would’ve regretted the wasted opportunity.  The real job that I was there for was non stop days from 6.30 am until 8 or 9pm everyday and I was getting worried that I wouldn’t be able to get anything done.  On the last day, I left the wrap party lunch early and had two hours to shoot.  I had arranged models from Instagram and it was on!!  I meant Bianka, one of the models at the hotel, where she changed and we headed off to shoot next to the highway! Check out the video to see the BTS of all shoots.

After that we went to a black beach where I photographed Bianka on the beach and was then joined by Anita, my second model.  I am really happy with the results and so are Enzoani.

When I got back home, the Cherry blossoms were in bloom and I quickly made arrangements to shoot Kaily, before I had to send the dress back to Enzoani.

Moral of the story – you need to make an effort to create images that are going to resonate with your ICA.  If you don’t and other photographers do, you will be left behind!
