I was asked by Nikon to present a series of workshops around the Netherlands showcasing Nikon’s incredible cameras and lenses and their ability to capture images under relatively low light. It was a four city tour that took me across the whole country connecting with some great photographers. We all had an amazing time experimenting with various light sources, from a television, to a pocket torch to the fantastic Rotolight Neo and the Lowel GL1. Thanks to the very efficient and enthusiastic Nikon team for trusting me to represent your brand and for all the logistical organization. Four nights lecturing to a full house of very attentive photographers
Lit with the LG Television on the model’s left and the Rotolight Neo as the hair light. Canned atmosphere used for, well, atmosphere.
Daan Vazquez “Here to help”
Great venue – The Chapel at The La Sonnerie Hotel provided a great location to shoot.
Canned atmosphere again with me holding the GL1 for the hair light. The Rotolight Neo from the front.
The Bar at the Flecher Hotel in Amsterdam was a wonderful location to try out some new tricks. Here Melissa was lit from behind only with the GL1
Mixing it up – Using the Neo on 6300K white balance and the GL1 being Tungsten, I created an image with different colour sources, which was quite effective.
Picking on people in the front row! Very quick in-camera set up with two Neos
A very simple two light set up – one really warm and one really cool. SOOC
