I was asked by Nikon to present a series of workshops around the Netherlands showcasing Nikon’s incredible cameras and lenses and their ability to capture images under relatively low light.  It was a four city tour that took me across the whole country connecting with some great photographers.  We all had an amazing time experimenting with various light sources, from a television, to a pocket torch to the fantastic Rotolight Neo  and the Lowel GL1. Thanks to the very efficient and enthusiastic Nikon team for trusting me to represent your brand and for all the logistical organization.  Use the discount code BrettFlorens10 for a 10% discount on Rotolight products.  If you would like to see more educational material on shooting in Low light – please go to my “Photographers” page.

The Bar at the Flecher Hotel in Amsterdam was a wonderful location to try out some new tricks.  Here Melissa was lit from behind only with the GL1

Mixing it up  – Using the Neo on 6300K white balance and the GL1 being Tungsten, I created an image with different colour sources, which was quite effective.
